The Founding Circle
Daily Shift
Help establish Daily Shift from the very beginning.
- 01One real observation.
- 02One reflection.
- 03One question to carry into the day.
365 people. One year.
One for every day
365 people.
Before Daily Shift opens publicly, it is being established with the support of 365 people.
One person for every day of the year.
The Founding Circle exists to protect something deliberately small: the time to notice, to think and to write one observation worth carrying into the day.
Why
Why a Founding Circle?
Daily Shift will always be free to join once it launches publicly.
The Founding Circle exists for a different reason.
It gives a small group of people the opportunity to help establish Daily Shift during its first year, before it finds its own rhythm.
Your support is not buying more content.
It is creating the conditions that make the work possible.
What you receive
From the very beginning.
Members of the Founding Circle receive Daily Shift from the very beginning, before the public edition opens.
Throughout the first year, I will occasionally share reflections about how the publication is evolving, what I am learning and where it may be heading.
Most importantly, you will know you helped make it possible.
Permanence
Only ever 365.
There will only ever be 365 founding members.
Not because scarcity is fashionable, but because the number reflects the publication itself.
One person for every day of the year.
When the Founding Circle is complete, it will close permanently.
Choose your contribution
Every member becomes part of the same Founding Circle.
The difference is simply how much you would like to contribute.
The level you choose does not change what you receive. It simply reflects how much you would like to contribute.
A note from Andrew
Six years later.
When I began writing these observations in March 2020, I never imagined anyone else would read them.
They were simply my way of paying attention while the world was changing around us.
Six years later, they have become Daily Shift.
If you decide to become part of the Founding Circle, thank you. Not only for supporting this publication, but for believing that in a world full of reaction, there is still value in quiet observation.
